Last year I found the most delightful little Swedish painted cupboard at Niikki Paige Antiques and am looking forward to seeing her stand again. She specialises in Swedish furniture and I love its painterly, simple look and the chalky blue-grey colours.
As many of you know, I am a little bit obsessed with my new garden, and so will always be on the lookout for garden antiques. A lot of the dealers have weathered and worn tables and chairs, and sets of those lovely vintage terracotta pots, weathervanes, and interesting salvage pieces.
I have been living out of a suitcase in a building site for weeks, so am looking forward to finding some new clothes for summer, and there are a few stands at the show selling unusual and very lovely clothes, including Woven.
Last but never least, my beautiful and talented daughter, Ana Zoob, will be exhibiting with clothes and homewares found on her travels, and her headdresses made from antique and vintage silk and fabric flowers. If you are getting married, or want to treat a daughter to some very special festival gear, or have discovered, as Frida Kahlo did, that all women look gorgeous under a halo of beautiful flowers, come and look at Ana’s exquisite headdresses. She is on the Caroline Zoob stand, just inside the entrance. Personally, I think the embroidered coats are incredibly striking, on both girls and boys.
